Terms & Conditions.
1. General Terms
By purchasing a class, membership, or attending a session at Abode Pilates, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. These Terms may be updated from time to time. The latest version will always be available on our website. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).
2. Memberships & Class Packs
- All class packs and memberships are valid for the period specified at the time of purchase.
- Sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable, unless required by law.
- Extensions may be granted for medical reasons (medical certificate required) or at management’s discretion.
- Memberships and packs must be used within the expiry date; unused sessions will be forfeited.
3. Introductory Offers
- Introductory offers are only available to new clients and can only be purchased once.
- They are non-refundable, non-transferable, and activate from the date of your first booking.
4. Bookings & Attendance
- All classes must be booked in advance through our website or booking platform.
- Cancellations: At least 9 hours’ notice is required to cancel without penalty.
- Late cancellation (within 9 hours): session forfeited.
- No-show: session forfeited.
- Members arriving more than 5 minutes late may be refused entry for safety reasons and will forfeit the session.
- Waitlist: If a spot opens, you will be notified. Standard cancellation rules apply if you are added to a class.
5. Payment Terms
- All payments are processed in advance via credit or debit card.
- Failed payments must be resolved before additional bookings can be made.
6. Suspensions & Cancellations of Membership
- Requests to suspend or cancel a membership must be made in writing.
- Suspensions: Minimum 1 week, and limited to 1 suspension per class pack purchased.
7. Studio Conduct & Safety
- Members agree to follow all instructor directions and use equipment safely.
- Clean grip socks are recommended in all classes.
Hair & Personal Safety
For safety reasons, clients with long hair are required to have it securely tied back during all classes. This helps prevent accidents, entanglement with reformer equipment, and reduces the risk of injury to both the participant and others in the studio.
- Aggressive, disruptive, or unsafe behaviour may result in suspension or termination of membership without refund.
- Abode Pilates is not responsible for personal belongings brought into the studio.
8. Health & Medical Acknowledgement
- Participation in Pilates carries inherent risks. By attending, you confirm that you are medically fit to participate.
- You must disclose any injuries, medical conditions, or pregnancy to your instructor before class.
- We may require medical clearance before permitting participation.
9. Liability Waiver
- Participation is at your own risk.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, Abode Pilates, its owners, instructors, contractors, and affiliates are not liable for any injury, illness, loss, or damage sustained during participation, whether arising from negligence or otherwise.
- You release and indemnify Abode Pilates Pty Ltd against any claim arising from your participation in studio services.
10. Privacy & Communication
- We collect and store personal information for the purpose of providing services and communication.
- Information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and our Privacy Policy.
- You may opt out of promotional communications at any time.
11. Media Consent
- From time to time, photos or videos may be taken in class for social media or marketing purposes.
- You may withdraw consent at any time by notifying the studio in writing.
12. Gift Cards & Promotions
- Gift cards are not redeemable for cash, non-refundable, and non-transferable.
- Promotional offers are subject to specific terms and may be limited to one per person. Misuse may result in additional charges or suspension.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Both parties submit to the jurisdiction of the Victorian
